Strategic Plan
The strategic plan of the Department of Agronomy is centered on strengthening academic staff capacity, improving the quality of teaching, expanding research activities, and enhancing student development. Within this framework, the department aims to upgrade the academic qualifications of its faculty members through national and international training opportunities, while promoting professionalism in teaching and research. In addition, modern teaching approaches such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student-Centered Learning (SCL) are being adopted to improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.
Particular emphasis is placed on improving teaching quality through the implementation of a standardized curriculum, integration of information and communication technologies (ICT), and reinforcement of student-centered approaches. These efforts aim to ensure that students develop both strong theoretical understanding and practical competencies.
In the area of research, the department seeks to enhance scientific output through the implementation of national and international research projects, publication in reputable journals, and the strengthening of research facilities and laboratories. These initiatives are designed to address real-world agricultural challenges and respond to the needs of society.
Student capacity development is further supported through practical learning, internships, and field-based programs, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and engage with professional environments. The department also promotes agricultural innovation by providing advisory services to farmers, organizing training workshops, and introducing improved agricultural technologies to increase productivity.
Finally, the expansion of collaboration with national and international universities and research institutions constitutes a key component of this strategy. Such collaboration facilitates the exchange of scientific knowledge, the implementation of joint programs, and alignment with international standards. Collectively, these efforts play a fundamental role in advancing the academic development of the Department of Agronomy, strengthening the agricultural sector, and contributing to the economic growth of the country.
