Introduction, Analysis, and Strategic Points: Professors of the Agricultural Economics Department have consistently made strong efforts, alongside their scientific, teaching, and academic responsibilities, to enhance the academic level of students. At the same time, they strive to prepare innovative graduates equipped with agricultural economic knowledge, so they can share their expertise and experience with society and contribute to progress in modern and advanced agriculture.
Capacity Building: Enhancing the working capacity of the faculty members and administrative staff of the Agricultural Economics Department is considered a primary need. It is essential to increase the number of academic staff and strengthen their capabilities in both academic and administrative areas. The plan includes enrolling bachelor’s degree holders into master’s programs and master’s degree holders into doctoral programs. Additionally, positions for an executive manager and support staff will be approved and filled. Short-term training programs will also be organized for administrative staff—especially newly hired employees—so they can perform their daily tasks effectively without facing difficulties.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation: To obtain quality assurance accreditation, it is necessary that all departmental personnel become fully familiar with the quality assurance process and clearly understand all its standards. If these standards are not properly implemented, the underlying causes should be identified, and appropriate solutions and resources should be provided to ensure proper implementation and achievement of the department’s goals.
Improvement of Teaching Quality: The Agricultural Economics Department aims to facilitate both teaching and learning by preparing electronic learning systems. The university uses modern teaching methods and electronic tools to create a standard educational environment aligned with contemporary developments. Efforts are also made to enhance the reputation and standing of the faculty and department at regional and national levels.
Promotion of Research, Innovation, and Critical Thinking: Based on its available resources, the Agricultural Economics Department provides opportunities for research, innovation, and invention across various fields. The goal is to strengthen the spirit of research, critical thinking, and innovation among both faculty members and students, ensuring the development, promotion, and institutionalization of new academic values.
Financial Independence (Autonomy): First, the university; second, the faculty; and third, the department should promptly prepare for the implementation of financial autonomy regulations. This will help remove obstacles to infrastructure development and academic capacity building. Once the university gains the authority and capacity to generate and allocate its own budget, it will be able to take rapid and effective steps in all areas—such as constructing necessary facilities, enhancing capacities, standardizing teaching processes, promoting research, and carrying out other essential developmental activities.
