Introduction to the Department of Clinic

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

The Clinical Department of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences is an important and key department that prepares students for professional practice and graduation through the completion of clinical subjects. In this department, the core subjects, including pharmacology, toxicology, clinical diagnosis, surgery, internal medicine, and theriogenology, are taught both theoretically and practically. In total, this department includes 30 academic credits and 480 teaching hours, of which 272 hours are theoretical and 208 hours are practical. The department has a well-equipped clinic where students perform practical work, diagnostic procedures, treatment, and prevention of animal diseases. Clinical subjects familiarize students with essential skills in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and protection of animal health. Students strengthen their professional skills through practical training in the clinic so that they can effectively apply these skills in the treatment of diseased animals. With its scientific capacity in the clinical field, this department can provide consultation, assistance, and guidance to various sectors in their professional activities. In addition, it undertakes valuable efforts in providing veterinary health services for the livestock sector and society in the country. The department mainly collaborates with the agriculture and livestock sectors in policy making, strategies, regulations, procedures, guidelines, surveys, and research projects. Furthermore, it can play an important role in cooperation with public health in the field of zoonotic diseases (diseases shared between animals and humans).
